About
Learn about Eastside Hill — our neighborhood, our board, and how we work together to make this a great place to live.
What the NA does (and what the City does)
A neighborhood association is not a branch of city government. We don't plow streets or write tickets. We organize neighbors, run events, and bring local priorities to the people who do.
The City of Eau Claire handles
- Zoning enforcement and permits
- Snow plowing and street maintenance
- 311 reports (potholes, streetlights, missed pickups)
- Water, sewer, and stormwater
- Police, fire, and emergency response
- Code enforcement (nuisance properties, junk, weeds)
- Parks and public-works projects
The Eastside Hill NA handles
- Advocacy on neighborhood-level priorities
- Communication: newsletter and this website
- Community events and gatherings
- Board-led representation to the city
- Volunteer projects on shared spaces
- A welcoming connection for new neighbors
Not sure who to call? Start with the city's 311 service for most municipal issues. For neighborhood-level concerns, reach out to the board.
